I'm wondering if anyone else received an email looking for donations of artwork from this group.

I checked - no listing on Google, no address or phone contact information, hotmail email address, no charitable status information, sites for this and its US partner look slick, and like they were put up yesterday. Either an amateurish effort, or a scam, I'd say. Here's the site - http://artforafrica.info
