My childhood experiences in Colombia form the initial inspiration of my artistic direction. The colours of the region, the Kametza and Inga people, the pre-Colombian artifacts are still very present in my memory and are continually being fused into whimsical yet elaborate images. Repeated linear forms and circles are integrated from my structured architectural training to complete my contemporary rendition of these images. Through my art I hope to evoke a mosaic of moods from my childhood as well as my conflicted migration away from that time. I invite the viewer to take this journey with me and share in this creative evolution.
