Judy-Ann Cazemier, originally from the Prairies, now a resident of Toronto, photographs various aspects of the city. She has participated in several photo exhibitions, including CONTACT in 2007. These exhibitions displayed an appreciation of landscape photography and pictorial scenes of Toronto. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg and studied creative photography and later digital imagery at Humber College, Toronto. Initially, she worked in the stock photography industry, and now freelances. Another facet of her work involves creating photo art cards.
Artist Statement
Landscape photos of the Prairies and Ontario should grab the viewer’s eyes and pull them into the photograph -- inviting them to study, enjoy and appreciate the visual art. Toronto night photographs show lights differently than when viewed with the ordinary eye. The photos depict colour harmony, patterns and an interesting convergence of lines.
