Painting provides me with an outlet for thoughts and feelings that I’m unable to express otherwise. I find inspiration in nature, spaces, memories, the figure, familiar faces or unknown ones, the sublime and the mundane, anything that mesmerizes my senses or moves me.
I invite the viewers to witness my interpretation of the subject matter and engage in an intimate dialogue with the piece, urging them to complete the visual experience. My style explores the richness of texture, the interplay of darkness and light, and the ambiguity arising from lines and shapes. Some of my works are symbolic and portray suggestive forms taken from nature and the human figure to create thought provoking metaphors.
