RECURRING EVENT – Figure Drawing in the Gallery

Date: Starting in Sept 2023, then recurring every third Tuesday night of the month, unless otherwise noted – sign up or stay tuned for dates:

  • Tuesday, Nov 21
  • Tuesday, Dec 5

Time: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Participants: Given our space, attendance is limited. Pre-registration required. Payment at the door is not available.
Location: Leslie Grove Gallery

Fee: $25 per person per class. No member rate.

For beginners or experts, take the opportunity to draw a live model at the gallery. Different form a pure figure drawing session, Steven Lewis will be on hand to provide guidance, critique and direction …if desired.

Bring your own drawing supplies, drawing board, and paper.
(No paints, solvents or smelly art materials.)

Chairs are provided and tables available to work on.

Suggested supplies:

Paper: 18×24 newsprint or cartridge vellum pads
Materials:
  • Generals compressed charcoal 2B
  • 2B conte black or brown
  • Conte pencil B or 2B
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Bull dog clips
  • 18×24 drawing board (Masonite available at art store or Home Depot who can cut it to size)
All materials are available at art supply stores, such as, Aboveground Art Supplies, DeSerres, or Michaels.
Posing Schedule:
  • 5x 1 minute poses
  • 5x 2 minute poses
  • 3x 5 minute poses

  • 3x 10 minute poses
Long Break
  • 2x 15 minute poses
Break
  • 25 minute pose

  • 1x pose for remainder of time
